Abstract
In this article, a complex nature structure is simulated by introducing the nanofluid that contains various shape of nanoparticles through forced convection and thermal diffusion. Double sided lid-driven in a porous curved cavity is dealt to handle the forced convection phenomenon. Additionally, effect of internal heat generation/absorption is also considered. The horizontal and vertical walls are moving with a constant speed U0 and V0, respectively, which are further divided into two moving lids. The flat and curved walls are kept at constant temperature TH and TC respectively. The governing equations are discretized and solved through Glariken residual method by mean of Finite Element Method (FEM). The effect of various directional velocity, porous medium (Da), Reynold’s number (Re), internal heat generation/ absorption coefficient (Q) and solid concentration of nanoparticles (φ) are investigated on transfer rate of heat in the form of Nusselt number, isotherm, streamlines, temperature and velocity profile. Result reveals that heat is generated in cavity when the direction of velocity of moving wall is in the opposite inward direction. The heat transfer rate decreases in the case of internal heat generation and increases for nanoparticles.
