Abstract

Before considering Nietzsche’s reception of English literature, the article informs about Nietzsche’s relation to literature in general. Then, light will especially be shed on those five English authors Nietzsche refers to the most. Finally, Nietzsche’s examination of English literature will be taken as an example of his literary-critical activity altogether.
