Abstract

This report presents the findings from an externally commissioned evaluation of the Foundation of Nursing Studies (FoNS) Creating Caring Cultures Fellowship programme for aspiring leaders and early career registered learning disability nurses (RNLD). The ImpACT Research Group at the University of East Anglia evaluated the experiences of participants, mentors and facilitators across four cohorts of the programme run online between January 2021 and June 2022. The report highlights the key impacts of the programme, presents an implementation and impact framework for scaling the programme nationally, and makes recommendations for sustainable investment in this vital workforce as a career progression and development pathway.
