In this multicenter analysis of the outcomes of sentinel node biopsy for early-stage pT1b–pT2a melanoma (https://doi.org/10.1245/s10434-022-11761-4), all patients mapped to AJCC IIIA subgroup yet one in three had deposits > 1 mm. Prompt reevaluation of the role of SNB in early-stage melanoma is needed.
