Abstract

Drawing together the multiple strands discussed throughout the book, this chapter provides a summary overview of the work conducted, assessing the results against the initial objective of providing a first characterisation of a medieval-period settlement in the Maldives, and the wider aim of elucidating the roles played by the archipelago in the wider regional networks.
