Abstract
This report is an output of a collaborative research project with Britten Pears Arts, Snape Maltings, UK. It includes a literature review of the field and also draws on a set of original interviews with digital practitioners and art producers. It focuses on three questions: 1. How do arts organisations in the UK use digital technology to cultivate interaction among artists and encourage the documentation of work? 2. Which approaches to digital dissemination and creative interaction work best to foster audience engagement online in the 21st century? 3. How do UK arts organisations deal with work in progress and intellectual property rights in a contemporary online environment?
