Abstract
This item highlights the purpose of a s.306 application for the court to order a company meeting in light of Wheeler v Ross [2011] EWHC 2527 (ch). The case demonstrates that s.306 is a procedural mechanism designed to overcome practical difficulties normally caused by quoracy requirements and not designed to interfere with company or shareholder rights.
