Abstract

This book examines the different forms used in poetry, including rhythm, rhyme, question and answer and stories. It also investigates the transformation from prose to poetry and the final chapter contains comparisons of pairs of poems. The book discusses poetic forms such as riddles, refrains, half-rhymes, similes and metaphors. Teachers' notes are included to guide the teacher in the use of the book.
