A fast chemical-shift imaging technique is presented. The method involves saturating all spins outside a plane, selectively exciting individual lines, phase encoding along each line, sampling the FID without gradients, and interleaving interrogation of multiple lines. A 64 X 64 array of spectra with 5 Hz resolution can be obtained in 17 min.
