Abstract

There have been a number of developments in world trade and production since the 1960's which have been regarded as heralding the emergence of a New International Division of Labour. It has been argued that Latin America's position in the international division of labour has changed relatively little in the past twenty to twenty-five years, contrary to this concept of a New International Division of Labour.
