Attempts to analyse the concepts and frameworks employed when undertaking a particular piece of research (in this case Barnett & Blaikie's 1992 work on the impact of AIDS in Uganda). After an introduction, the first section briefly outlines the broad research problem; the following sections show the way in which the authors interpreted the data.
