Abstract

Distributed Java components such as servlets and Enterprise Java beans provide facilities for development of complex distributed web applications that access multiple databases. Container managed persistence allows transparent management of components. Deployment descriptors and the deployment of the technology is the important issue. Three levels of complexity of applications are demonstrated. The emphasis is made on the importance of employing appropriate components for the organizational needs.
