Abstract

Twinned Crystals are modelled here as multi-constrained elastic materials and it is found that plane waves may propagate only normally to a twin plane. On relaxing the constraints slightly it is found that the slowness surface develops 12 ellipsoidal spikes, each normal to a twin plane. Results on energy propagation are given.
