Abstract

(Monocarbonyl) and bis(benzonitrile)ruthenium phthalocyanines, conveniently prepared from metal-free phthalocyanine precursors, are used as supramolecular building-blocks in the construction of phthalocyanine-porphyrin multi-chromophore arrays.
