Abstract

This chapter draws the learning points from the selected nations' experience of integrating the nexus conceptualisation in governing the water, energy and food sectors. Among the critical governance areas that require attention are: the integration of climate change in all nexus considerations at all stages, from policy design to implementation; recommendation to depart from unidimensional approach to energy security, water security or food security and replace it with multidimensional; a suggestion to hold an ongoing transparent polylogue between all nexus network participants; securing network participants' commitment to the outcomes for the water-energy-food nexus, rather than for a certain sector. The chapter also makes suggestions for future research.
