Abstract

The doctoral critical project will examine the hauntological and psychogeographical aspects of fiction set in Wales. It will establish a term for understanding the confluence of the two topics: Hauntogeography with the methodology being understood as Hauntogeographic practice. The hauntological nature of these stories will be explored and analysed to explore the confluence between the two concepts. I visit specific sites mentioned or covered specifically in the chosen texts and conduct dérives in a rural landscape, thereby showing the merits of rural psychogeography, thereby establishing the concept of, Hauntogeography or, Walking the Narrative.
