Abstract

The special issue of International Journal Production Economics is devoted to investigate the planning and configuration for supply chain management from the aspects of economical environment and channel participants in the global arena. Yuan and co-researchers introduce an Air Cargo Supply Chain Operations Reference (ASCCOR) model to examine the integrated impact of airport operating strategies, industrial and economic forces on airport performances. Tsao investigate the effect of two trade allowances, promotion cost sharing and cash discount, for multiechelon multi-items supply chains. Askarany and co-workers identify the impact of contextual factors on the diffusion of ABC using a survey questionnaire and targeting Zealand qualified members of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants(CIMA). Lettice and researchers has explored global vehicle manufacturer (VM) and supplier partnerships for product development and design with in the automotive industry.
